The City of Oakland‘s Planning Department will be holding a public meeting on their plans to expand economic development and food access opportunities throughout ‪#‎Oakland‬ through the proposed Mobile Food Vending Ordinance.

Participate in the conversation! *Spanish Language Translation will be provided.*

Oakland Food Policy Council wants the Commission to:

Incentivize healthy food vending

Allow mobile farmers’ markets to vend wherever ice cream trucks are allowed!

Use a culturally appropriate definition of “healthy foods”

Support under-resourced entrepreneurs

Provide one-stop-shop for permits and licenses

Reduce permit fees (other cities have done it!)
